Logo Design Lecture at New College Nottingham

The New Fat have built a good relationship with NCN (New College Nottingham) over the past few years and are proud to have presented two lectures at this years "Creative Careers Conference".

A brilliant logo presentation - giving the students a practical process which they can apply when interviewing a client and mind mapping ideas before getting started on the computer. Including how to ask the right questions and get your logo designs suitable to the target audience. The students can apply this logo design procedure on all their relevant projects in future and should be a good resource.

The second lecture was for students who want to get the best out of their education time and strive for adding work experience into their CV. Not only is it great for their CV, but it boosts confidence and gives them a head start in looking for work. Tips and hints were given on how to research potential companies and the best approach method.

"It is great to get involved in the local creative scene and help build the Nottingham students into some of the most successful in the area. I find Nottingham a very creative and inspiring city - there is so much going on, it's brilliant". Suze Moore, Creative Director.

We are look forward to setting some live projects to the Design students next year.

If you want to read some of the lecture handouts and full presentation you can read all our student design resources. Including "Practical Logo Design Tips", "Foot in the Door - how to get work experience" and a "Survival Guide to Higher Education - a Business Owners perspective:"
