Street Art Exhibition at Nottingham Castle



For our latest inspiration staff outing we popped in to see the "Street Art - Contemporary Prints from the V&A" exhibition at Nottingham Castle Museum & Art Gallery

I have never actually been inside the Castle before and it was great to see such a wide range of art and history.


Its on for a few more days until the 25th September, so you need to visit quick!!

Drawn from the internationally renowned collection of prints from the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), Street Art: Contemporary Prints from the V&A showcases established and emerging street artists, both British and international, including Banksy, D*Face, Eine, Miss Tic, Shepard Fairey and Swoon.
Nottingham Castle will host a series of events, talks, workshops and satellite exhibitions exploring contemporary Street Art printing themes and styles to support the main exhibition.  Local talent will also be showcased and supported during the exhibition.
For anyone who wants to take a piece of the exhibition home with them, the accompanying book, Street Art: Contemporary Prints (V&A Publishing, 2010) written by Riikka Kuittinen, will be available to purchase in the Castle shop.
This exhibition is organised by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
